Holiday session 2 Stay and Play

Join us to explore the wood playfully at your child's pace, while you make friends with other participants and nature.
We believe your child learns through experiential play, discovery and curiosity so offer play activities and games in various locations as we head to our base in a beautiful natural Woodland Trust site in Knaphill.
There is free parking, we bring hygiene facilities, and we do our best to be a low impact eco friendly community.
This is nature play and discovery session led by Forest School and Early years trained and qualified play leaders.
This group has mostly been early years primarily Tots and Toddlers, and babies too during term time and in our holiday sessions we have found mixed ages can be very beneficial to each other so will occasionally include sibling between 1- 8 years, but do contact us if you have older children, perhaps home educated children or who wish to attend, as this is for family groups and the whole family is welcome especially in the school holidays.
We foster a friendly respectful and welcoming group with possibilities for parents to create, play and make friends along with their children.
This is not a session for unattended children, nor childcare.
Attending carers may be either parent or relative carers such as Aunts, Grandparents or professional childminders/Nannies.
This event is similar to how our Forest School term time sessions run and will be in **Knaphill
When the Weather is colder we concentrate on movement and activity to ensure the well-being of all participants.
Bad weather is usually dependent on wind speed. A little rain will mean we can put up a shelter.
If poor weather or hazards crop up we can move to another site when necessary, often windy Weather will dictate this. We will always let you know, but severe weather may mean we will have to cancel.
* Early booking is advised. For the full benefits of Forest school as a community of learners please consider long term booking if you are able rebooking over all the seasons of the year even if this is only holiday sessions. Forest school is about connection with nature in all seasons.
We cannot predict the weather at time of posting this and advise that you check on the day, Waterproofs including trousers/ and layers including hats / gloves may all be necessary. If rain is predicted we will erect a shelter.
We invite you to look at our frequently asked questions for guidance on what to wear.
