We provide experiences in Nature for young children and their families.
We care and support you and your child/ren Outdoors in their learning and blossoming understanding of this wonderful world at our Toddler group Forest School.
That's in all seasons and almost all but extreme weathers as in our experience...

Our Mission
We want to foster your connection with nature and others, as we value all the families that have enjoyed being with us by being respectful of those who live and come to the woods locally.
We will continue to do our utmost to ensure all of our processes from hand washing to creative activities are well thought through, sustainable, and minimise our impact on the environment both at our sessions and globally.
Roaming wild is a place of encouragement, support and kindness. This will be evident when you see what we do.
Meet The Team
Hazel
Founder & Forest School Leader
Hazel grew up on a farm on Ashdown Forest (where Winnie the Pooh lives!) so most of her childhood was spent outside. She enjoyed playing in the woods, riding her bike and just having fun in nature.
Since moving to Woking via Manchester Hazel has a family of three children who are now grown up.
Hazel trained to NVQ Level 3 in 'Childcare, Learning and Development'. She spent 17 years working at a local Pre-School in a number of roles including; SENCo, Deputy Manager and Manager.
Whilst working here with Nicola started Forest School sessions. Long time friends now have their own Forest School sessions, to share their love of nature and being outdoors.
Nicola
Founder & Forest School Leader
Nicola began volunteering in a Nursery when her children were small and first met Hazel at a local toddler group. She has since been a Childcare practitioner & Special Educational Needs Coordinator(SENCo) whilst working at local Pre School settings. This role has given Nicola an appreciation that there are many ways to support children to grow in confidence and gain skills.
Hazel and her colleagues encouraged her to train as Level 3 Forest School Leader, qualifying in January 2014. (with Sue Edwards, Surrey Wildlife Trust) Through this process she witnessed how transformative connection to nature and the natural environment can be in a child''s learning. The process allowed many cohorts to flourish with such "WOW" moments and she credits the natural environment in supporting this.
When not outside she is usually snuggled up with her dog and a craft project!
